Thanks. Not much in my area. We have nothing but cowboys and well... you know where that goes - LOL!!
The other people won't help unless you pay them top bucks. That's great you have horsey people to share with and get together with. Maybe one day.... We don't plan on staying here in this state much longer. WE plan to move to either Oregon or Montana.
Can't wait!
ha, ha....... yeah, I found that out about not sitting back in the saddle but only rotating butt to find that balancing point. I felt like such a dork -- Windy thought, "what the.... get off me if you're going to be doing that!"
Once I felt that point - wow - it was great. My legs aren't as loose yet but I'll work on it. I keep telling myself, if I loosen up and just go with it and relax - so will she.
Many, many years ago I started out at a John Lyons clinic. It wasn't really a seminar. It was when he was first starting out. It was held at my friend's place. We only had maybe 10 people and he worked the mare I had at that time. And then on Sunday we all went for a trail ride and he talked and talked and showed us all what to do with problems on the trail. It was great. Now he's gone big time - like everyone else. I still do stuff that was taught to me by him like trailer loading (if horse is afraid to go in). Basically the same as what Parelli does.
I will continue to watch RFD and watch as many people as possible. Even if I learn one tiny little thing - it's all worth it.
