Brownie is a Percheron/Clydesdale cross. She a 12 year old bay 16 hand mare. Heidi, my daughter bought her for her 4-H club to learn vaulting on and found out that she is a terrific trail horse to boot. She has been learning the natural horsemanship from Parelli and Reis tapes but Brownie is still somewhat pushy when you lead her although she has made a lot of improvements. We found out yesterday afternoon that she is a jumper too. She went over the stone wall that surrounds our pasture and took a tour of the neighborhood with me in hot pursuit. Fortunately that ended well but now Brownie must live in the paddock by the barn until we are sure that she doesn't have any shipping fever, then she will join the rest of the herd at Debbie's. She is fun to ride, her canter is like sitting in a rocking chair and her back is so wide that you would have to work at falling off. I intend to use her as much as possible until Heidi gets here. Oh Carol , she is a driving horse also according to the previous owners. Brownie and Heidi will soon be joining us at the meetings and play days.

Thanks Suzie.....We hope to be doing some of the trail rides and hunter paces this year. Heidi is coming home on the 7th of May if all goes well. I want to ride her to get her in condition some before Heidi gets here but I haven't had the courage to climb on her yet. Maybe tomorrow.
