From Val who works at Tuffs. Thanks Val I have been meaning to share this with you. I found out recently from one of the doctors here that corn oil can promote inflammation in horses. If given as a supplement to a normal horse to help a rough hair coat or extra calories for a hard keeper it doesn't seem to be much of a problem. But research is showing a trend of corn oil perpetuating inflammation in horses with joint or tendon issues etc and especially laminitis. I thought it was very valuable information seeing that it is used pretty regularly by horse people and is considered to be benign. He told me that canola oil is a good alternative without the inflammatory side affects for any horse. Share, if you think it is worth while Val

ohh.. corn oil could cause inflammation in horses.. however there is benefits that "corn oil" is a good weight gainer for horses.. thanks for this information
