Anyone going there this weekend? I have my list of clinicians and my shopping list ready. The competition on Sat and Sun afternoons sounds very interesting.

We shopped till we dropped and watched a bunch of clinics, met old friends, and I am so tired. It is a good thing that this only happens once a year. I took Sat. off to stay home with my sick husband but going back on Sun. I hope that there will be some good bargains on items that the vendors don't want to pack up. Did anyone else go? What did you like or not like?

We went on Friday afternoon. I found quite a few good deals on blankets. I also found some nice winter riding pants. Tommy is NOT a fan of shopping so after shopping for a while we stopped at the bar and had a couple of drinks while we waitied for Fantasia to start. We were disappointed that Stacy Westfall did not ride in Fantasia as scheduled. All in all we had a good time.

I guess that Stacy's bridle less horse tied up during a clinic. We saw her in a subsequent clinic on bridle less riding and she was riding another trainers horse. It was very interesting to watch as that horse was trained totally different that her own horse. The other trainer had to talk her through the whole process. They then worked with a young boy who was training his horse bridle less. He had a good start but his techniques needed to be refined. We didn't see Fantasia this year. I went 3 days thinking that on Sunday the vendors would have some good bargains rather than drag their stuff home. That didn't happen. We did enjoy the trail competition although many of the horses wouldn't go near the obstacles. We had to leave at 6 and the finals hadn't even started yet. The winner received $2,000, not bad for 2 days work. There wasn't anything there that we couldn't do with our horses. There is something to work for next year.
