It is so cold that my manure is freezing to the floor in the barn. I have to use a pick ax to loosen it in order to pick it up with the fork. The tines on the fork are twisted and crossed from jamming it into the frozen piles. My horses have cabin fever from standing around, even though they can get out, they are old enough to know better than to try to run in this mess with the ice under it. The highlight of their day is when I show up with warm water which they both will drink before I pour it into the tub. Of course the apples might help. Is there anybody out there who is able to ride or play with their horses (indoor or outdoor)? How about posting about what you are doing to amuse those of us who are just waiting for this winter to end.
