Hope you find the articles interesting and check out the calendar above for trail rides and clinics that I think would be helpful to people on the board. If you know of any, feel free to post them as we are always looking for new and interesting places to go. Again welcome.......Jane

Loved the picture of your horse. Talk more about riding in Vermont. Although I know a lot of people who have ridden there, I always like to hear about other areas. My friend's mother has a place called Back in Time, a bed and breakfast that I always wanted to visit. Now she has it for sale so I missed out. Also know a group called Cross State Riders who have camped there often. I might get there someday.

Hmmm, riding in VT. Well like there I imagine, you find you can do it year round just not that often. This winter was so bad at times with ice under the snow, I didn't even do groundwork. And now it's rained for the last 5 days. I think I've heard of Back in Time but I honestly haven't been anywhere much except around the Rutland area. I don't drive because of my disability and sometimes have a hard time leaving the house. I love to trail ride, and did that once during the winter, in the deep snow, but Sienna was a brat. When she's worked regularly she's so good we used to let the kids ride her, but when she has time off she gets pushy on the trail, fights you every step of the way to be in front. But I honestly can't think of what life would be without her. VT. is beautiful and in this area alone just about anywhere you board you have access to miles of trails. And there is water every where and I love that; the trout brooks I had only read about before moving here. Just the sound soothes me. I have a 'horse' friend here who is from Connecticut and visits her sister quite often and vice versa. So I assumed it was just a short hop there, like when I look on mapquest at the NEK and think it's only 20-30 minutes away. :-) I got to see sugaring this winter for the first time. And of course there's the mountains. I can look out my window right here and see them. You should really make the trip because I don't think you'd regret it.
