Not usually considered anything great, however Apollo hasn't been ridden for a year. I took him to Bluff Point and went on a trail ride with Fay and he was lame the next day. This wasn't new but he didn't get over that one. We treated him for lyme disease and thrush and had 2 chiropractors and a saddle fitter, as well as the vet. At any rate, he hasn't been limping for some time now so I saddled him up and rode after doing some ground games, I mounted and he was a perfect gentleman.

Jane that is great to hear. I hope he stays sound for you. Spring IS coming, you can get him ready for some trail riding.

I'm looking forward to Spring. We are already getting our list of trail rides and clinics together. If Apollo stays sound, he will be the one I take to Larry' s clinic otherwise it will be Ace again. I'm still trying to find a saddle that will fit Ace. Everything I put on him slips back. I have been looking at the Casa Dosa. I know that will fit him, just not sure if I want the trail model. I have a Bates with the changeable gullets. Not one fits him. So much for the one saddle fits all theory.
