With all this moisture in the ground, it is very easy for your horse to get thrush in his feet Be sure to check their feet often until the ground drys. I have been treating mine with hoof heal 3 times a week. I hope this keeps them healthy.

This seems redundant, however we are having another wet winter and one of the gals in our study group is treating her horse for thrush. I thought it would be good to mention that we need to check our horses feet often to be sure they are healthy.

Thanks Janeen! And thank you for putting me in touch with Billy. Mac had contracted heels since I've owned him. Eight years now. He had thrush with no obvious symptoms. I never knew it. Billy has helped me clear it up and guess what. Not only are the contracted heels opening, but for years he grew no toe... only heel. Now his foot is balanced. Thanks for sharing all you research.
