I have heard from several people lately that they had those floating heaters in their water tubs and realized that their horses were not drinking. Each person I talked to said that they found when they put their hand in the water, they were shocked. Not a zap you shock but just a mild tingling one. It was enough to keep the horses from drinking. If you use one of those floating heaters, check it often, especially if you think your horse isn't drinking. I haven't heard anyone complain about the heated buckets.
