I can't walk to my barn without ice spikes and today I talked to 2 friends who told me that they rode on Sun. Of course they live on the sunny side of the hill and don't have any more ice. They both have indoor arenas so that helps to keep their horses in shape. Anybody else had a chance to ride?......Jane

Well, actually yes I went riding a couple weeks ago and my northern riding partner was complaining about the mud! What could she have been thinking? LOL ;D

We now have that mud here. Yea! I expect to get started riding the trails one day this week. My horses are both shedding with vigor. They will probably be more interested in rolling than in moving forward. This brings to memory a ride in SC with my daughter on a young horse that was walking along a dirt road and dropped in her tracks. She scratched her belly and got up and walked on. Boy was my daughter surprised!

Oh I'm ready for him. He dropped into the ocean down at Bluff Point last year. He did it without any warning and Faye just laughed until the tears came to her eyes. I've thought that most horses at least give you some warning, but he didn't paw or even stop walking. We cooled off and stood up and walked on through the water. Funny horse.
