Thurs. am Carol and I took Ace and Jones to Bluff Point. We arrived shortly after 2 other riders, whom we later learned came from Hampton. Funny how you meet your neighbors 50 miles away. They were on 2 big warmbloods, simply gorgeous. Anyway Ace was wired seeing the river along the trail as well as lots of kids on a school trip with nets and other supplies for catching things. Jones doesn't worry about much. We rode out to the bluff and half way up the sand bar. The sand is too deep to go all the way around, especially when the horses won't go near those scary waves. We stopped and took pics. along the bluff and continued on around following the trail up past the old foundation and down the hill back to the trailer. We had a great day, the weather was cool and overcast. No bugs! We were able to get the horses into the water along the river side. I think they actually liked playing in the water once they went in. Doesn't anyone have a trail ride that you would like to share?

We are planning to go for a short ride on Sunday in Natchaug. I want to try to start going out on the trails again. Natchaug is good because you can go out for short little loops near the horse camp and if my back starts to hurt I can head back and get down quickly. I will let you know how it goes.

So glad you are able to get out even a little. For me it is an attitude adjustment. I hope everything goes well for you.
