I saw a fisher-cat in my backyard yesterday morning. They are larger than a house cat. This one is dark and moved like a ferret. He wasn't the least bit concerned that I was following him around to get a closer look. Anyone else seen one of these?......Jane

I remember seeing a fisher cat when we riding around Georges pond but it was no alive. That had to be cool to see a live one!

Fisher-cats are larger than a house cat and they move like a ferret. They sort of hump up and leap forward. They have a round head and short pointy ears and big teeth and claws. This one was not the least bit worried about me stalking him, he looked around at me often but didn't try to hurry away. I think that we had one in the chicken house quite a few years ago. I didn't close the door until after dark and there was an animal in there that had killed a bunch of young roosters and had them stacked up. I just read that is what they will do. Not nice animals.
