I have to say you made a wrong turn somewhere. Fla. is slightly south of Ct. Didn't the AF teach you how to read a compass?

2 weeks you will get lost in Texas. You need to invest in a GPS young lady. We are north of you. Like it or not, your still a Swamp Yankee....LOL...... I would think after all those raisins you dropped on the way to Charleston SC you would be able to follow them back. Here is the trick. Drive north until you smell Apollo, turn right... Dad ======================= PS, enjoy Florida & Texas. ===================== Well we will have to postpone this tip a little but I will be coming so be ready!

I hope that you are watching the weather. That storm is supposed to be headed your way by Sun. and there has been a lot of flooding in Texas close to where you are headed. How is the squirrel? We are getting rain most of next week but boy do we need it. Have a safe trip.

There has been water but nothing too bad. It is cold here in the mornings for a wonderful change! The little squirrel did not make it. We are not sure what happened but he passed the same day he tried to walk. I think it was from the change in food. Ohyeah so get this one. Jamilee was teasing me about when was I going to be here in Texas. Well I email her and she has the nevre to be in CT for the summer! Can you believe it? So now I have to come up there before she leaves in November so we can have a reunion! I bet it is only 11 miles to her place right? She can walk, she proved it!

Well she is home. Hooray! Did we ride. No. What we have done is watch it snow, sleet, hail and today we have Ice. Arrrrugh! My poor horses are experiencing cabin fever already. I don't dare let them out for fear of them slipping and breaking a leg. We have had a great visit, seen friends and family Heidi hasn't seen for 2 years. The kids went out on quads in the snow one night. Can't do that in Charleston. It's 78 there. Unfortunately she will be going home too soon. This week has flown by.

Well in spite of the ice and snow and Ct. weather, Heidi is coming home for good. She is finishing her AF enlistment and will be heading back with a horse, two dogs and all her belongings. I can't wait!

I am thrilled. Heidi has been gone for 6 years and although we have visited back and forth, I missed having her here. She liked living in Charleston a lot so I just figured she would stay there. I was very surprised when she announced that she was coming home for good. She is planning on spending the summer learning from Leslie Miller and then she wants to work with young kids. She volunteered at a stable doing 4-H while in Charleston and she really enjoys that. I couldn't be happier.
