Good pictures Suzie. Looks like you were enjoying yourselves. Now that you have an accurate weight, measure your horses with a weight tape and see how accurate that is. You can then keep track of gains and losses. Thanks

Well the Gymkhana today, the third in the series at Gold Dust was cancelled this week, because the indoor arena flooded with all the rain during the week. I guess it was quite a mess and they are trying to repair it. They are going to reschedule it for another date. So no riding today:(.

Bummer! With all the rain we are having this year it would be a good thing to get sea horses:).

Well the third show in the Winter buckle series was Saturday. (barely made it with the snow) They had a one hour delay in the start time so everyone could get there. We were a half hour late but they waited for us. The show that was cancelled has been rescheduled for the 29th of March. That will be the last one and awards will be given out then. I did ok this week I got a 2nd three 3rds and a 4th. (4th in the barrels). Tuffy was a little crabby when we first got there he decided he really did not want to participate in the barrel racing, but he did become a little more agreeable after the first two classes. I am learning that this can happen frequently when riding aged Appaloosas.. Tommy beat us in the barrels he got a third. He is doing really well on Winchester who is coming along nicely.

Today was the final show of the Winter Buckle Series at Gold Dust. I did not win a buckle but we had a really good time riding in this series. The people who rode in it and the people who put it on are just super, everyone is so nice and supportive. Tommy brought winchester again and they both did really good, he even beat me in the speed trail. At the end all the champions and reserve champions got a buckle and a plaque, and a gift certificate for a free equine body balancing session from one of the sponsors Jerry Grudzien. In a non traditional way they gave out Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons to people or horses in some special classes such as most improved rider, New barrel horse with great potential, Equine good citizen, and I must say my favorite new category which Tuffy got a reserve champion ribbon for is cutest gaming horse. Champion went to a young girl on the most adorable little pony in the Buckaroo division. The weather was a little better than it has been and everyone had a good day. Tomorrow is the Neato Easter egg ride, I hope Tuffy isn't too mad. Ol lazy bones.

Well they recognized cute when they saw it . Tuffy is adorable. You two make a great team. I hope you have fun on the Easter egg ride. I had planned to ride Ace on it but we haven't done any riding for the last 3 weeks so I think it would be best to sit this one out. Fay always does a great job organizing her rides and the weather will be perfect.
