I spent the day Tues. watching Stacy and her husband Jesse working with a group of ten riders. She advocates starting with ground work and she spent the morning evaluating each rider and horse on their ground work skills. She then sent the rider to Jesse at the other end of the ring to work on the parts where they were weak. One of the riders was a 13 year old girl on a very attractive gray. She is working him to be a reining horse and Jesse had her ride a reining pattern which he then evaluated. Stacy spent a lot of time working with an Icelandic that has been evading his owner by braking away whenever she asks him to work on line. When I left, his owner was happily working him in the roundpen under Stacy's watchful eye. I learned a lot just watching these talented people and hope to ride in a future clinic......Jane
